Getting Oregon open records

Open Up Oregon.
In theory, if [an Oregon] agency tries to use these tactics to avoid its public responsibility there is a simple solution. Send an email to Oregon Attorney General John Kroger at john.kroger@state.or.us, explain that you made a public records request and were ignored/denied, and ask that he issue a "public records order" or PRO requiring the agency to give you the documents and/or waive the fees. CC the AG office public records officer, Christine Chute, at christine.chute@doj.or.us By state law, the AG has a week to order compliance or to deny your petition and justify the denial. You will get an official response to your petition, probably from Deputy Attorney General Mary Williams. The response will deny or grant your petition and it will explain why.

Governor's Natural Resources Office Headwaters to Ocean (H2O)

Will Neuhauser

Governor's Natural Resources Office Headwaters to Ocean (H2O).

Oregon's waters are an integral part of sustainable communities, a viable state economy and a healthy environment - and they are fundamental to our quality of life. Oregonians recognize the need to manage our waters in a way that protects the unique natural resources of the state in balance with a wide variety of beneficial uses. However, demands for water continue to grow, and we face additional challenges to managing Oregon's water resources from pressures associated with climate change and rapid population growth.

Headwaters to Ocean (H2O) is the Governor's strategy to achieve sustainable water supplies and quality to benefit Oregon's people, communities, environment and ecosystems, and fish and wildlife.
